The Bottom Line Use common sense in care and cleaning of your tennis shoes!
It is not found in the Bible. Many might think that it is, but there is no verse that says "Cleanliness is next to godliness." HOWEVER!!! When it comes to your tennis shoes, "clean is keen!" Regular care and cleaning is essential. First, do your best to keep your shoes from getting dirty. Walk around the puddle, instead of through it. Watch where you step, avoid that MUD! Also choose your footwear in accordance with your actions. Tennis shoes are not best for heavy hiking! Now, when not in use, where should those shoes be? Keep your shoes in a cool dry area. Weekly washing and thorough drying will help. Also keep your eyes on your shoe strings. They can be replaced at minimal cost. Get as much wear as possible from your shoes. This makes good stewardship of your finances. When purchasing shoes, buy the mid grade selections. Usually cheap is just that --- cheap in quality, and they don't last! On the other hand, the most expensive shoes sometimes do last the longest, but when cost figured for wear time verses cost, you will usually find the mid grade cost shoes the best value.
