This is a real good card for the price. Once I figured out how to get it installed it really does sound good. There is not much of a software package and if you want to get info on it on the net, good luck.
I originally got it to replace my SB 64awe isa to get 4-speaker, 3d sound for Quake 3 ( A3D ) but it turns out the latest 1.27 rev got rid of A3D and I haven't figured out how to get it back. It sound great in Descent 3 in all but A3D (not supported).
There is another Program that adds better sound effects in Sensauras " Virtual Ear" but its an extra $25 bucks. I got it but I didn't install it correctly and can't use it yet. It's supposed to support A3D 2.0 and enhance all 3d effects.
The Aw744 not quite up to a SB live But the Aw744 does't take up the resources that the Live does (2 interupts). Again this is a real good sound card for the price and what you get. Don't expect anything more.
