Cons: I wish it had been available years ago.
The Bottom Line: I love this Clorox Gel BleachPen and so will you! It's terrific for removing stains from Fabrics.

Despite the fact that my husband thinks this is stupid, I like the Clorox® Bleach Pen™
He doesn’t seem to appreciate that this is the age of specialization. We are now using pre-made furniture polish cloths, pre-made dust rags and feathery ones, too. Why not a bleach pen?
Why I bought the Clorox® BleachPen™
Truthfully? Because it was there! And, also, because I’d read about this product on Epinions. So, of course, I’d have to try one.
Clorox® is a household name around here. No substitute will do for me. It has kept my whites pretty white for many years, so I wasn’t afraid that this pen wouldn’t work.
Description of the Clorox® BleachPen™
It’s a flat, blue plastic container about 6” long, and, as you can tell by the above picture, it rather resembles a rocket ship.
It’s filled with a Clorox® Gel, not the liquid stuff, but a gel. On either end of the container there’s an application tip. You must unscrew the lids (counter clockwise) to get to the tips. I attempted to pull them off, and so I learned the hard way.
The tip on the flat end is the larger of the two, and the tip on the rocket end is just like a felt pen.
Uses for the Clorox® BleachPen™
On White clothes, towels, etc.
Like I mentioned, it is specialized. It’s not something you’d use every day, but something you’ll be glad you have when you need it.
BUT YOU USE IT ONLY ON WHITES! Please keep that in mind, always.
It is meant to be used when you’ve stained or spotted a white garment, or a garment that’s trimmed in white. That’s the specialization feature.
Merely choose the tip that you want, turn the cap off, and lightly brush or rub the spot(s) with the tip. You’ll see it work right before your eyes. Replace cap, of course, to prevent drying out problems.
My husband’s T-shirts had a few long-standing spots and I used the pen on them and watched the spots miraculously disappear. It’s great.
The directions say to gently rub and wash immediately It’s that simple. If you’re doing a load of white clothes, merely throw the garment in the washer.
The narrow tip is fantastic when you’ve a colored garment with white trim – of course, the spots are always on the white portion. The gel is very controlled, meaning it doesn’t pour out – you control it with the tip. It sort of bubbles like peroxide does, so you know it’s applied.
I didn’t mind the odor – actually, you use such a small amount that the Clorox® smell is very light and disappears after the wash or rinse.
Household Chores
Should be great for tile grout. I wish I’d had this product when I had brown ceramic tile countertops. I’m sure it would have saved me a lot of trouble.
I won’t need this often, but it’s nice to have it to use around sink drains, etc.
But anything that you generally use bleach on around the home, you can use this pen and CONTROL the amount you use. I think that’s its best feature.
Warnings
Besides not using this on colored fabrics, be mindful that this can irritate your eyes, and KEEP OUT OF CHILDREN’S REACH! Wow! I’d hate to see Junior get ahold of one of these pens and start marking up the walls!
Read the warnings on the label, always.
Conclusion
For 2 oz. of Clorox® Gel, I paid about $3.97 in the grocery store. Since then, I’ve seen it in Wal-Mart for less than $3.00.
I will keep this on my Laundry Supplies shelf and use it as the occasion arises. I really like the convenience of the Clorox® BleachPen™
I think it’s worth the money and I recommend it highly. It has kept me from wasting liquid bleach, and it does a great job! Ask my husband!
