Dear Dragon (Reply to this comment)

Our hearts went out to you on this one. We live beyond the edge of nowhere (Brooklin, Maine) and our "get away" is even further from the pale - no phone service, period. We have resorted to a satellite phone when we go to the camp on Ragged Lake. ('course, at $1.70 per minute, it's a bit steep, but when we need to communicate, we're glad to have the opportunity.)
I would hate to be driving cross country and have the experience you had with Sprint. You mentioned not even a cat for company. How about ferrets? Would you like one? This can be arranged.
Love your review. Keep 'em coming. And give us more info about the new Consort!

...Great review!
I had a similar experience with a lack of service when I was traveling in West Virginia. I've also found the voice mail slightly unreliable.
(The phone itself is great, a TP3000 which Epinions does not yet have a category for, but I'll find a way to post ere long.)
Thanks for writing and I'm glad you made it safely despite unreliable service!

all I can say is "Wise Choice." Of course, I am far more happy that you reached Colorado safely despite the faults of your Sprint PCS phone.
Enjoy the view from Pike's Peak ;-)
