I'm always looking for the best bargains online for DVDs, and after my frustrations with a certain "other" online DVD seller, it didn't take me long to find CD Universe.
They have a great selection of DVDs at CD Universe, as well as games and obviously, CDs. I can't comment on their Game or CD prices but their prices for DVDs are reasonably good. I say reasonable because there were some instances where I was able to find my DVDs cheaper online elsewhere, and there were some occasions where they did have the lowest price online.
Their search engine works very well and many times, other search engines might miss finding your movie if you mistakenly classify it under another genre. Not to worry here, as the DVDs are usually widely cross-referenced to whatever genre's your selection may possibly be about. A movie such as "Jurassic Park" is crosslinked to no less than 13 categories so if it's a particular genre you are trying to find, the search engine does a pretty remarkable job. Listed next to the titles is usually the information on the format and prices and clicking on the title will usually take you to the page with all you ever wanted to know about that particular DVD. Whether the title is "In Stock", information about the cast, specifics about the movie, and often times a very informative section about the DVDs special features.
Their shopping cart feature is easy to use and update until your order is set. Repeat customers can log in and all the information from previous orders is stored and can be looked up easily. One of the things I truly admired about their online shopping was the ability to cancel the order no less than and hour after placing it. Maybe you might find the item at a cheaper price right after and need to cancel. It was as easy as logging in and clicking a button, no hassles with customer service and no questions asked. As long as the order has not been processed and in the shipping phase, feel free to cancel any pre-orders or orders you might have made. There are even options for whether you want to wait for them to ship the items as they come in in the event they are backordered, or to wait until all the items arrive, and then ship. It couldn't be much easier!
Their delivery times were always very good, with my items arriving well packed and shipped first class. This was a welcome change from the other company I used to shop at, which would literally wrap cardboard around the item and ship it off with no packaging regard whatsoever. I have never had any screw ups with getting the wrong DVD, and I noticed the majority of complaints were with customer service. The send e-mails throughout the whole process telling you confirmation of the order and when the order ships. I've received eight out of eight packages over the last few years and I've never had a problem.
This is really a great place to shop! I can't say enough about their great selections and prices. Their great service is what keeps me coming back!
