and i completely agree with you about 'hoosiers' - it is one fine movie, and probably the best basketball film ever made...
as far as football movies go, you should really check out 'North Dallas Forty" , a Nick Nolte film from the 70's. it's quite honest about the sport and its players, and is also a very well made film. like 'any given sunday', except good. and what about 'bad news bears'?! that's a great sports film about underdogs! okay, i'm done rambling now...good review though!
