Docking station sounds like you need it for your computer, right - this time: WRONG.

You want to use this so called "docking station" differently: Dock it to your TV. The marketing is perhaps not very clear but the little remote coming with it gives you the hint.

THIS is MUCH MORE than the Kodak easy share or the other plastic wedges on the market - this is the non-intrusive slide projector in your living room !!! With my hp 635 came a USB cable which works great on the PC and enabled me & my wife to easily unload the pictures to the hp website (btw free of charge for hosting). I am not crazy about spending lots of time to spice up photos with programs but want an easy and fast way to share the pics. And this works!!!

While the cable worked fine - my wife asked me if we can't have one of these cute docking stations (as Kodak makes such a big deal out of it) and while the camera cost only $149 I thought that $79 is a little steep for a plastic wedge. Granted - I have the smallest price camera for that docking station type but still - one wonders, right? NOT when you see what comes with it.

You get a new functionality which is not marketed... slide projector in your living room. It is soo cool!!!

My wife played hockey one night and I took pictures and video of certain parts of the game (yeah - I know ... a guys thing ;). Anyway, once we came home (and she showered) we could see on the TV (without me doing anything else than putting the little camera on the dock (for charging as well) her positioning in the game and nice scenes of struggles with the puck. Sitting on the sofa you flip through the photos and videos, zoom in and out with your little remote.

Every day the camera sits on its dock recharged (it seems to have some kind of logic internally when to charge and when not) and we both just take it when we need it (knowing where it is and that it is ready).

No watching pictures around the PC anymore - ON YOUR TV WITH COMFORT!!!

->> I highly recommend this and probably will upgrade to a high pixel camera (looking at the 935 currently) to have better resolution.
THE DOCK I WILL KEEP!!!

Now the best: You can even hook up one of these small printers from hp into the back (I bought a photosmart 145) and you can initiate photo prints without leaving the sofa. VERY VERY NICE!!
