The Bottom Line Go see it. Staind and Godsmack are amazing live.

March 30, 2001... The date of the greatest concert ever. Opening for Godsmack was Systamatic, Cold, and Staind. Systamatic tried to get the crowd pumped up, they played for about 20 minutes and they were fair. Cold came out and the crowd started getting pumped when they played their hit "Just Got Wicked" moshing and crowd surfing began. Since this was a general admision concert, I was down on the floor. Since I was most interested in Staind, I tried to jam my way to the front before they got on.

Oh my god did staind ever rock. They opened with Mudshovel, which really got the crowd going. I don't remember what order, but they played Crawl, Just Go, Me, Raw, Suffocate, Outside (Without Fred Durst it's a lot better), and two songs off their new album, "Break the Cycle". When Aaron played outside I was about 3 people from the front. Staind really set the mood for what was to come next.

The first thing we see before Godsmack comes on is a cartoon about 5 minutes long. About a 1 on a scale of 10 in the funny factor. The only people that find it funny are the people that are high. Godsmack's stage was set with 6 pillars, each with flames on top. The flames would come at different places each time a hard note was hit. Truely amazing. They played Awake, Vampires, Bad Magick, Bad Religion, Forgive Me, Get Up Get Out, Mistakes, Timebomb, and encored with Voodoo and Whatever. During Whatever, they pulled about 40 people on the stage. Since the Fort Wayne Colesium is also a Hockey arena, there is black stuff set over the ice. People realize this and start tearing it up. It is raised over their heads and people begin dacing on them. The security guards can't do anything. The energy level was about a 9/10 for Godsmack.

If you have a chance go see part of the Wake The F*ck Up tour.
