I purchased this monitor from a small computer store that typically prides itself on selling quality so I'm not sure whether the monitor I purchased was defective or AOC monitors are of poor quality in general. Anyway, the monitor has never been completely in focus, especially around the edges of the screen, even with the factory drivers installed and all settings set to factory defaults. After seeing several much cheaper and much clearer 19inch monitors everywhere else, I decided that my monitor must be defective so I began applying to have the monitor replaced or serviced. First of all, I called AOC's customer service number several times and continually got the same message that no support people were currently available so leave a message or visit the website. I finally filled out a warranty request online and received an instant authorization to take the monitor to a local service center. Unfortunately, I was required to pay to have it shipped. I received the monitor back after about 1 and 1/2 weeks but the monitor was much more blurry than when it left. I have tried calling AOC, leaving messages on their support voicemail, and emailing their support center but I have not yet received a reply after over a week. I am really disappointed that the support line does not give the option to hold for a customer support specialist or an operator. I'm hoping that AOC will come through by either replacing the monitor or fixing the problem but based on my current experience, I'll probably end up buying a cheaper better monitor from another company.
