The Bottom Line: I would suggest waiting for the G5 powerbook at this point as it should be out within the next 6 months or so. Switch already

| guthrieden's Full Review: Apple PowerBook G4 (M8981LL/A) Mac Notebook |
I bought my Powerbook about a month ago and waited to write a review until i got used to the Mac operating system and Im glad i did. First shipping was very quick, don't be fooled they don't take weeks to deliver it took 2 days and it was at my doorstep. Second the packaging is bullet proof well maybe not "bullet proof" but damn close. Everything is packaged very nicely Bla Bla Bla.... This is the best laptop you can buy stylish, powerful and fast. OS X is truly a work of art, three weeks and not a glitch. All the iApp's are just great I love working with iMovie editing and transferring and my home movies to DVD just try that on a wintel machine. Unlike a windows machine you are buying a complete system hardware, Operating System and Applications that are made to work together flawlessly so don't be discouraged by the price-tag its well worth the price. The picture quality is crisp and clear absolutely stunning altho i was worried about the dead pixel issue i had read about but I was lucky enough to get a perfect screen. The light up key board is a nice feature and helps if your night person like me. Ok now for things i don't like about the powerbook. Number one on my list is the one button mouse all i can say is why why why doesn't Apple give in and admit the two button mouse is better and more convenient its just a little annoying to get used to the single button. Two the power cord plugs into the left side of the machine and looks flimsy I hope Im wrong and never break it off. It does get a little hot but only when under heavy usage like playing DVD's or rendering effects in iMovie but from what i have read it is completely normal. If your a computer gamer go with a Wintel machine there are very limited games for the Mac. I really don't understand computer gamers if I wanted to play games I would have bought a play-station or box and saved a lot of money. Sound is a little weak on the 15" model but not that bad for a laptop this thin. Ill never go back to wintel....
