Who needs one of those things?

Pros: Good looking, great value, luxurious without being ostentatious, incredible utility.

Cons: Even at close to 6000 lbs, it blows around in heavy winds.

When I first saw the Avalanche on the road, I thought it was a perfect example of overkill and wondered why anyone would buy such a vehicle. Now that I have owned one for two weeks I can tell you that it is because it is one of the most comfortable and versatile vehicles you could ever own. The ride is smooth and powerful. The looks are great. The heated seats are heaven in cold climates like Colorado. You should get the XM radio if possible. It is fabulous for long trips.
