Costco member or NOT you can avoid the crowds and shop at Costco.com!

We are a family of seven and so it makes sense to buy things in volume. We go through two gallons of milk and three different types of juice in three days. I don't even want to get into the number of batteries, bottles of laundry soap and rolls of film we use! We have been Costco members for years and have used their online site, Costco.com on and off as well.
FINDING WHAT YOU NEED
1. The Search option which works by product name

these two options follow you around as you shop, making it easy to go from one department to another.
As you can see, you cannot buy groceries (other than wine) through their website. I REALLY wish you could, I would LOVE to have them delivery (or should I say LUG) my monthly groceries right to my door!
SHOPPING
First off, you do NOT have to be a member to shop in the Costco.com personal section, only in their business section. If you are NOT a Costco member you will be charged a 5% surcharge over the member's posted prices. A regular membership cost $45.00 per year and you can sign up online.
When you find a product you are interested in you click on the products name to get a picture and more information.
To purchase an item, you put in the number of the item you want to buy, then click on the ADD TO CART button. You can then continue shopping or head to checkout.
Once you are ready to checkout you need to give all the regular billing and mailing information. If you are a Costco member, you will need to give your membership number as well.
After ordering, you will get a confirmation email and another one when the package is sent.
SHIPPING
There are two shipping options available ~
• Standard
• Express
Standard shipping is via FedEx Ground with delivery in approximately 7 - 10 business days.
Express shipping is via UPS Air with delivery in approximately 3 - 6 business days.
There are no set Shipping cost, it is calculated at checkout based on your order and the ship-to location.
THIS AND THAT
** In the DVD area, you can bring up the latest releases by month, category or by boxed sets ~ which can be a time saver. You can then click on the more info button for more details.
** All items bought online have the same return policy as the store and can be sent back via snail mail or returned to any Costco warehouse.

I have always had mixed feeling about Costco. I love the fact that they have great prices on staples, have a variety of products so I don't have to go store to store and you can eat enough samples to fill you up or pick up a hot dog and pop for under $2.00!
However, I don't like the fact they don't take coupons, have a limited brand selection and even with 7 to feed, I would NEVER buy a lot of items in the jumbo size!
But, that being said, I must say the our Costco membership pays for itself year after year. When my children are all grown and it is just the two of us, I doubt I will renew but for now, it is a good deal for us.
Since at least one child is usually with me when I shop, picking up gifts UNNOTICED is a VERY hard thing to accomplish! This is where Costco.com comes in! They can show me different movies and items they like at the store, and then I can order them online without them knowing. This is a great way to get past spying eyes and mouths that might slip!
The Costco online store is easy to navigate, has on time delivery and a unbeatable return policy. My only complaints would be that the site can be slow and that there are no set shipping cost. But all in all, I would recommend you check out Costco.com you might just find a great deal!
