Pros: Tupperware midgets continue to pick up fans. Great product.
Cons: Blue lids. Don't try to "center burp" these.
The Bottom Line: Buy yourself a set or pick up some for a friend. These really are great little containers.

Dont take the whole bottle with you. Take a Tupperware midget.
You can carry two ounces of anything right in your purse or briefcase. Now, really I think weight is a bit misleading. Im guessing they are talking about liquids on the oz lines marked at 1, 1 1/2, and 2 oz (or in ml on the opposite side), because I think 2 ounces of feathers would take a different amount of space than 2 ounces of rocks. If you have trouble picturing the size, then imagine that you break a size large egg in the container. Thats about the amount of space in Tupperware midgets. The run 2 inches tall and smaller at the bottom and slightly wider at the top (around 1 ˝ inches at the top).
My first thoughts were that I would not need something so small, but I got a set in a starter kit. It did not take long to figure out that there are all kinds of things that fit in these containers. I wouldnt go so far as to say I could not live without these, but they sure are nice to have.
If you carry lunch, then you can fit dressing for a salad in a midget or any kind of condiment that you dont want yucking up your sandwich bread all morning. Put bacon bits in a midget or hot peppers (which will smell up your food if sitting right there all day), or cereal sprinkles to go in your yogurt. They also work for favorite seasonings like lemon-pepper. I keep a midget in my drawer at work, so I dont have to buy a second bottle just to keep at work. You dont have to worry about spills or leaks, because these are tight. You could drop your lunch box or bag off the roof and not have to worry about mayonnaise getting all over your thermos.
On a trip, these work great for shampoo, conditioner or lotion. Full size bottles take up so much room, and these are wonderful for long weekends. They are also nice for medications on a trip. Just put your vitamins or whatever you take in one container for each day. Or, carry a small amount of hydrogen peroxide, calamine lotion, or bag balm.
Craft supplies can be stored in midgets, so you dont lose your beads or colored sand or sequins. Those little bags craft supplies are usually packed in tear up the side and then spill your pretties in the drawer where they end up going in the trash. Well, that is the way things go around here anyway.
If you have kids, then these really are lifesavers. Schools will keep medications and give them at required times, but some of the liquids are hard to send to school. Measure out the amount and send a midget, and your child is set. Just be sure to put your name on the top or side with a Sharpie.
At church or any function where kids may get the squirms, these can be pulled out for an M&M, Cheerio, or trail mix treat. If the midget happens to tip over, you dont have a lot to pick up. They are also large enough that your kid cant swallow the container and small enough that they cant suck them over a little nose and mouth like those Poke-balls at Burger King a few years back.
Im sure I dont have to tell you everything that you might carry that is small and would work in these containers. Just look in the bottom of your purse where you lost all your little items, and you will have a good idea what you might want to store in a midget to carry along.
These arent cheap, but Ive never seen cheap Tupperware (as far as price or quality). They run close to $10 for 6 containers. If you buy little packs of individual servings like salad dressings, then you pay for that convenience, so these save money if you pack your own little bits of stuff. They do carry a lifetime guarantee too so you know youll have these for years and years.
Most Tupperware products come in various colors at different times, but Ive only seen midgets in clear with blue tops. Since I like the hunter green lids on my items, that does clash. On the other hand, I dont use the midgets right in the kitchen that often. They come in handy to store onion or green peppers in the freezer for pizza toppings, but mainly I use these are carry around pieces.
The lids are hard to put on to start with, but the loosen up with use (no leaks though). It also helps to put them on at a slant and use both hands to seal down around the edges. These dont work well with the old center burp that you may think of when you think of Tupperware.
If you dont have a set of Tupperware midgets, then consider them the next time a neighbor invites you to a party or a net friend sends a sale page for online buying. Youll be surprised how often you use these mini containers, and youll soon think that you need a second set and a third . . .
