I signed up for Intergate because it was cheap. Then, I decided to cancel after a month because it was SLOW, yes, I know it was dialup, but it was ridiculous even for dialup! Good luck if you ever want to cancel! I will note that I did NOT sign up for a year subscription.
I first searched their entire web site. There was NOTHING on how to cancel, if it was there it was VERY well hidden. So I called up Intergate and got a very RUDE person on the phone who told me that I needed to go to the web site and gave me a secret URL. Guess what! The form on the URL didn't work! Fed up with the nonsense, I called my credit card company. The lady working for my credit card company was very nice, she connected me to a person that she said would cancel my account to hopefully save me the trouble of disputing the charge. Once again I was talking to a rude "customer service" representatitve but this time he assured me that the account would be cancelled. That was more than a month ago. I got my credit card bill and noticed a very recent charge that would have occurred AFTER I cancelled. Now, I am going to have to dispute the charge.
I would NEVER recommend Intergate to anyone. They are dishonest and rude and it's not like they are the only ISP around.
