I had been looking at purchasing golf clubs for about 9 months before I took the plunge. I have to admit that for the cost/quality ratio I am partial to Wilson. I had never owned a set of Wilson Clubs but they felt good in the store and seemed reasonably priced. Unfortunately Wilson Firestick Clubs in the store cost about $250-300. Enter....EBAY! These clubs can be had for under $150 a set. There is nothing in any store, anywhere, even on clearance, that will match the quality/performance of these clubs at that price point. Nothing! I took golf lessons over the past year on an old, and I mean old, set of golf clubs. I can't wait for spring, or most likely, the heated winter driving range to use these babys. Well, enough about me, here is some information on the clubs: all of the clubs have a regular mens flex shaft, which means that most people will enjoy the distance and club speed imparted by the flex of the shaft, the factory Wilson grips I would rate on the good side for rubber, very tackey(read stays firmly in hand) and seem to hold up well. The club finish in general seems very good for a mass produced set. The irons are perimeter weighted steel which have large forgiving sweet spots. The driver is oversized, not crazy-stupid-look-how-much-I-can-spend-on-a-club-with-a-head-the-size-of-a-shoe-box, but large enough for even the most innept golfer to find a sweet spot at leaste once in a while. The only thing missing is a golf bag but we don't buy clubs for the bag now do we? Because we astutely buy quality clubs at RockBottom Golf prices(hint on where to buy clubs) we can buy our own bag and pick if we want one optomized for cart or carrying. I would not hesitate to reccogmend these clubs to all levels of golfer, they are very forgiving, and well made. Enjoy golf not the breeze from "Mr. Wallet's" larger than life driver. ;)
