Very cynical but true. I'd also add that the more hits you have on a certain article the higher it is placed. As a consequence, having the first article in a certain category means a good head start and lots of hits in the future.

Some good information here, but some I'd have to disagree with too. Rating unfairly may make a member a few cents in return reads-but ultimately gets them highly distrusted. Same thing with multiple general comment posts, as some members see this as frivolous and bordering on abuse, they can end up distrusted for this as well, and moved down on the list-making Income share (the only real money here) less likely.

When you say - you have to enjoy coming here.
That's so true - if you just come to try and make a buck, it'll show and you won't make much of anything.
But if you genuinely enjoy the environment and participate in it fully, then I believe you can do ok here.
