Most of their prices are average--usually at MSRP, so they don't offer any bargains, as you can most certainly find things cheaper elsewhere on the net.
They are a typical tech retailer offering all sorts of computer related items: packaged systems, peripherals, software, accessories, networking, etc. They also have a separate store front for Mac items (Mac Connection). They have a decent selection of all sorts of popular and current brand-name items, but don't count on finding anything obscure. If you don't mind the continual junk mail streaming into your real-world mailbox, it's fun looking through their catalog just to see what new things are in the market, though.
Shipping can get expensive as they charge by speed and weight. But they have numerous shipping options from overnight delivery starting at $12.47 for the 1st pound to 2nd-Day ($9.88 up to 2 lbs.) to Ground ($7.99 up to 1 lb.) to even Saturday delivery options for the Continental US ($22.47 1st lb. to Alaska & Hawaii). International orders are also available, but you can't place the order online for that. Taxes are assessed on orders to MA, NC, OH, TN.
Returns and repairs must be made within 30 days of purchase: Note that is the invoice date, not the date when you received the item, and has to be first authorized. All non-defective returns are charged a 15% restocking fee.

They had 1 item that was cheap enough, so I decided to order from them. I received exactly what I ordered on time via UPS and it was well-packaged. I usually go for the cheapest shipping so I shipped by Ground, and received it in a week's time from across the country. Nothing to complain there. Never needed to talk with Customer Support, so I can't comment on its quality.
But I am so sorry I ever ordered from them. I had an email account for the last 5 years that somehow has remained spam-free. I've placed orders from other companies with that email account. But about a month after placing my order to PC Connection, my email account all of a sudden got bombarded by all sorts of spam. I don't mean just ads from PC Connection and other online stores, but those rotten "Are you big enough," "Get it up" and "super-viagra" spam that has continued to fill up my inbox!!! And I can't get rid of them. I can't even unsubscribe to the PC Connection mail list after several attempts to do so. I didn't give out my email address or do anything different during that time other than placing that order to PC Connection, so that had to be the source.
If you have to order from PC Connection, be sure to use a throw-away email account unless you enjoy spam. Otherwise, avoid them like the plague.
