Worst Shopping Experience Ever....On or Off Line!

Internet shopping and purchases have become a norm for me. I have found it very comfortable to research, competitively shop and purchase products on line. My most recent on-line shopping experience is the worst I have had on or off-line for a number of years.
I ordered three items with gift boxes as Christmas gifts on December 10th on-line from Sharper Image. On December 15 I received their shipment with only one of the items ordered and no gift boxes. I immediately called Sharper Image's 800 number and received their apology and assurance that the missing items would be shipped immediately. On December 22nd I received their replacement shipment with only one (1) additional of the items and still no gift boxes. Again, I called their Customer Service 800 number and was told that it was "too bad and they were very sorry." However, there was nothing they could do until after Christmas. They could not help if it was now too late to get the products to me before Christmas, even if it was totally their fault that they had mis-shipped the product two times. I listened as the Customer Service (oxymoron)read her responses from a prepared script. I informed her that I would be returning all of the products received and asked that she pass my message that, "I would never do business with them again." Her reply, "...what is it that I can do to remedy this matter for you." .....SHIP WHAT I ORDERED!
This is a classic example of a company that has lost its vision of what customer service is all about. You might want to find the same product, only without the Sharper Image logo, at another store on or off-line. After all, this company will not be around in a few years.
