Health care is so expensive. Unfortunately, if you get really sick, you'd go broke before you could get treatment without insurance.

Two friends of mine (both doctors) recently moved to another state and set up "fee for service" practices. They were both fed up with the managed care runaround. One of my main doctors also recently stopped taking insurance. This country is headed for a big crisis.

I have heard a lot of really bad things about
HMO's. They are being sued by a group of doctors
that are very unhappy with the way patients
are being treated. Doctors also find the system
very difficult to work with, because they have
to get permission for everything they do and
that slows them down to much.

I would prefer no insurance to an HMO.
