Satellite?? (Reply to this comment)

I never understood why satellite internet access is even offered! Like you said, it's often the most expensive, most restrictive, and most inconsistent internet connection in existence. The only thing I can figure is that they continually get people with the word "satellite", which for most non-scientific people means 'advanced capabilities' instead of 'limited and long latency' like it is. I don't know, I guess ignorance causes expensive mistakes, and many times doesn't even allow you to realize that you made a mistake!

Sorry, ranting again. Good info on all of the connection types, I myself am looking into a cable modem. It should be safe in my area because I live in a suburb consisting mostly of adult couples in their early 30s with 2.5 children and at least one minivan, and everyone is home by 8pm and in bed by 10pm! I doubt many of them are surfing Epinions.com until 3am! On a side note, it's also a very strange neighborhood in which to live, Twilight Zone kind of strange when everyone's lights go out within a half hour time period... No I'm not paranoid!

Never claimed to be an "expert" so to speak. I went through my opinion again and I can't really see where it is lacking in research. I actually wrote about a page more than I inteneded because of the research I did.

I did find a couple of grammatical errors, but there is hardly enough to confuse anyone, or probably make anyone notice.

I saw your comments somewhere else, and got the impression you are the professional.

You made some grammatical errors, but everybody understands what you mean to say. So it's okay. Nevertheless... I should not mention to the lack of the extensive reserch.

Got bless you!
