| mommy2jesse's Full Review: Clorox Clean-Up |
When I have a tough stain to remedy, or I learn of a breeding ground for bacteria, I grab my Clorox Clean-Up. I have confidence when using Clorox Clean-Up that I'm getting what I need: a clean home!
With white counters, stains are inevitable. From juice to coffee and from ketchup to mustard, my counters have seen it all. But, with Clorox Clean-Up there is no evidence of it.
The bottle is the standard in industry spray bottles. It is of average size and weight when full. The neck is textured with grooves for your fingers to help with comfort while holding it. The nozzle has both spray and off settings.
The concentration is near perfect. It has enough bleach to remove stains from hard surfaces, and help reduce mold from the kitchen and bathroom, but won't bleach colored fabrics when accidentally sprayed upon them. I am comforted to know that when I clean my kitchen or bathroom I am not only removing stains and grime but killing germs as well. There is no better reducer of germs than bleach.
The price is very affordable. I spend about $3.00 for a full bottle that lasts two months. And, I found when running low, you can find a refill container at some stores, instead of purchasing another spray bottle of Clorox Clean-Up.
My husband and I both suffer from severe allergies and headaches that can be triggered when using Clorox Clean-Up. Though it claims to have a fresh scent, the aroma of bleach is still very overpowering. If not in a well ventilated area, the smell of bleach can still cause headaches and dizziness. Though, if used properly and carefully, it can be avoided.
I like that I can use Clorox Clean-Up in both the bathroom and kitchen and kill any germs that are present in either room. I also love that it can remove most stains presented to it. There have been very few occasions in which I was unable to remove a stain with Clorox Clean-Up. I am pleased that Clorox offers a refill container, and that, in general, it is easily found. If the refill container is not available, I know that another spray container of Clorox Clean-Up will be. The price is very competitive compared to other bathroom and kitchen cleaners. And, the germ-killing ability far exceeds most of the other kitchen and bathroom cleaners available on the market.
My only complaint, as stated above, is the overbearing scent of bleach when using Clorox Clean-Up. It is irritating to my eyes, nose and mouth and can cause headaches when I'm around it for too long. Ventilated the area I am cleaning does help, but does not completely eradicate the scent. Luckily, given a few hours, the overall scent of bleach goes away.
However, I would rather smell bleach for a few hours and know my home is clean than wonder if the product I used was living up to my expectations. After all, the smell of bleach is the smell of clean!
