Glade® Press 'n Fresh

This little stick of dynamite is a great air freshener and is small, compact, easy to hide and very powerful. We have been using these little jewels for almost a year, just about from the time they were introduced from Glade.

The air freshener comes in two parts – first, the applicator, for lack of a better term and second, the canister that contains the air freshener. The applicator is applied to the surface with foam tape, that is removable in need be. The canisters are placed inside the applicator and can be replaced when needed. No need to remove the applicator each time you need a refill – this is a very good feature. The applicator is also very unobtrusive and is almost unnoticeable.

The following is from the Glade website, which instructs the consumer on how to apply the applicator and replace the canister as needed:

1. To mount the dispenser, first clean surface with isopropyl rubbing alcohol and let dry. Second, peel paper from the adhesive and attach to a vertical surface. Press firmly for 30 seconds. Do not use on delicate or vinyl wallpaper, or bare wood. Not recommended for use on plasterboard or painted drywall. Note: Apply to surfaces above 50°F (10°C). Adhesive could lose adhesion above 105°F (40° C).
2. To insert a refill canister, first, while holding the base of the dispenser, remove empty canister from dispenser and discard. Insert fragrance canister into the Glade® Press 'n Fresh® dispenser, snap the canister in place.
3. Push lower part of the dispenser to release fragrance.
4. To remove the Glade® Press 'n Fresh® dispenser, follow these instructions: First, remove the fragrance canister from dispenser. Second, with one hand, hold onto the dispenser and with the other hand, grab Removal Tab. Third, slowly slide the tab, away from the unit, keeping the tape parallel to the wall, stretching the tape at least 6 inches (15 cm) until dispenser releases from the wall. Caution: Do not pull the adhesive tape out at an angle. The adhesive tape could break or damage the surface.

The fragrances available for this nice little unit are:
Country Garden®, Just Orange™ (NEW!) and Rainshower®.
We personally like the Country Garden scent the best, but have used Rainshower as well. We have not tried the new fragrance of Just Orange, it might just be more pleasing than the others.

What I hate about air fresheners is that it tends to just cover up the odor instead of remove it. These fresheners are very potent for their size and amount of spray released – which is predetermined by the applicator. They really remove the odor from the room and are very effective room fresheners. We have been so impressed with these air fresheners, we have them in all the places on our home where air freshening needs to occur on a regular basis.

The first time you purchase this item, you will need to buy the applicator which comes with one cartridge. After that, you can just buy the cartridge to refill as needed. The following prices are what we find in our local grocery/discount stores and may vary based on your location:
