Reliable maybe? (Reply to this comment)
by Arup
What about the benefits of e-commerce vs. brick and mortar? Why did you want to wait 2 weeks for a bag?
What was the price discount? I mean they don't give the same $$ off shipping, the way amazon.com does for purchases over $25.00.
I think I need more detail on experience rather than purely a description of the company website.

Great Quality (Reply to this comment)
by denabmorris
I had been shopping for some clothing at the mall and various on-line shops only to be highly disappointed in the quality. Thought I would check LL Bean and happened to catch them when they had a good sale. I got some great-quality items for a better price than I could ever get at the mall. Also, with their LL Bean credit card you get free shipping which saves many $$$ (just be sure to set your money aside to pay the entire bill when it comes so they don't get you that way). The shipping is Fed Ex and though I hate to admit it (my husband is a UPS driver) very quick to get here. They run a really tight ship at LL Bean and the prices are great; especially in relation to the quality. I'm hooked!

Re: Question on your epinion style (Reply to this comment)

It is hard to know. I have been getting more hits overall but I think that is partly due to more traffic at the site with the addition of shopping.com. I figure it doesn't hurt to include the links but I have never understood why some reviews get tons of hits and others get almost none.

Re: Great timing! (Reply to this comment)

The sleeping bags at L.L. Bean are very traditional - looking with lots of plaid. I doubt they would appeal to a 9 year old. However, they are very soft and comfy. I got my son a Bob the Builder sleeping bag but is is very shiny and polyester-feeling. He is 4 and doesn't seem to care but I couldn't spend two seconds in it. I guess what is important in a sleeping bag changes as you get older. In any case, I shopped around quite a bit and found that L.L. Bean had a good indoor bag for the money.
Thanks for your comment.

Question on your epinion style (Reply to this comment)
by bhweb22
Do you find that the links at the bottom of your epinions lead folks to read more than one of your reviews at once?
Do you think I should try that?

Great timing! (Reply to this comment)
by bonniesayers
My son turns nine in two months and wants to have a sleep over. I do not think he is quite ready yet and I wanted to locate a sleeping bag so he could use it at home.
I will have to check them out, might be good for his birthday, but probably need a specific character one like Yu-Gi-Oh!.

Thanks for your comment. I agree that their quality is really high. I bought a pair of winter boots over 15 years ago. I wear them every for months every winter and, although I sent them back to be resoled once, they have held up perfectly well all that time. It's nice to know that their online service is just as reliable.

.........service, but I can attest to great quality. I have a pair of western boots I purchased in Freeport Maine from them over twenty years ago. They are still holding string!
Good and thorough review.
