Pros: Palm's OS, all-in-one unit, easy to use and GPS works well.
Cons: Expensive, accessories are required, needs more memory.
The Bottom Line: For someone who needs a good PDA and Palm's OS, the GPS is the icing on the cake. For traveling, the IQue is very nice and practical.

After pouring over many different Palms, (T2, T3) and various Pocket PCs, I decided to try the Garmin IQue 3600 PDA using Palm 5.1 OS. I originally was looking to purchase a separate GPS system for the PDA but after looking at the alternatives I decided to try the all-in-one unit.
The Palm OS is excellent (thanks to Palm not so much Garmin)but Garmin did a great job of integrating their products GPS into Palms OS. I've noticed the GPS capabilities are:
Good- Fairly easy to use after just a little practice; very clear maps; lots of ways to find "places" such as addresses, intersections, popular spots such as restaurants, etc; easy interface with Palm's Desktop application to load maps; voice notifications.
Bad- GPS can take over 3-5 minutes to "find" satellites. Normally it's only a 30 - 45 second search, but it can take several minutes; several times the GPS attempted to route me to the destination via a really wrong way - either way out of the way or by not using an obvious route; the voice notification is nice but it does not identify the street by name (I believe Delorme's product does)...so instead of saying "turn west on Smith street in .5 miles" the voice will say "turn west in .5 miles". There could be multiple streets in the vacinity so you have to watch closely.
In general, the product is great. Customer service takes forever to contact. If you are in the queue and the time indicated is "30 minutes" expect to wait up to an hour or so - I know I had this happen.
You must purchase the Garmin auto nav. kit for your car, $50.00 or so, and buy a 256MB SD card for the unit. The maps the unit takes needs this card - the PDA only comes with 32MB of memory and this is incredibly small for what the GPS needs.
