The Bottom Line Great search engine for concise results!

Since 1998, the number of search engines that have emerged onto the net have been a dime a dozen! At first, most of the top ones were pretty good and offered new, organized material. But as the years went on, the internet grew bigger and bigger and it was difficult for the search engines to sort all of the tons of information and websites that were being machined out everyday. This was partly due to the fact that most engines attempted to sort out all the sites they received and place them into categories. The sorting was good to a certain degree but pretty soon, it was very difficult to keep track of all the sites on the internet (which is why engines such as Yahoo! and Excite have somewhat dated databases). Google.com, on the other hand, leaves the sorting to the searcher and displayes the most concise results of any engine out there! Most engines think that they're helping one out by sorting out "unimportant" websites and queues when in fact, they can be preventing useful information from being seen.
The fact that Google does not sort it's information into categories, might be a drawback for inexperienced users, but it can also be a venue for seeing various different sites. I, myself, have skipped sites due to not looking under the right categories.
Whether you're searching for a personal site, a corporate site, recipes, auctions- whatnot, Google.com is sure to help you find it!
