Pros: Still local to Pittsburgh. Networks designed by smart people who know networks.
Cons: Can't get their service if you're residential. Email still surprisingly bad.

| vertov76's Full Review: Stargate |
This is a short review, just to let folks know what isn't really clear from checking out their website. Residential service is no longer offered.
It was good while it lasted, but Stargate has sold its residential business to Earthlink, and moved its subscribers to Earthlink and PeoplePC, depending on what products they were receiving from Stargate.
Business customers have remained on board with Stargate Business, which is now a subsidiary of E-xpedient, based out of Cleveland, OH.
A large portion of the Stargate staff apparently stayed on with the new division of E-xpedient, which is a good thing if you're a business in Pittsburgh looking for a local presence from your provider, which you should be.
The connections were always VERY reliable, their email was not. Since they've jettisoned the residential portion, it looks like they're focusing on what they do well, which was data center and dedicated connections. The other thing they always did really well, technical support, was also for the most part jettisoned, although they did keep a few good key people for high end clients.
