Pros: Eats grease fast. Makes tough, non-dishwasher jobs easy.
Cons: Fun suds distract me from doing dishes fast. You're never too old to play .
The Bottom Line: All-in-all, DAWN original scent dish liquid is my favorite amongst the Dish soap brands out there. It cuts grease and provides bunches of sudzy fun to your dish washing.

From Dusk Till DAWN:
..I have been using DAWN dish liquid for most of my life. I am, of course, the one who is stuck doing dishes everyday twice or so in our little apartment. We do have a dishwasher installed, but my mother would rather me not use it because it can use a lot more water than it would to just do them by hand, in the sink, the ol fashion way. Well, I cant say that it bothers me too much because I know I can count my trusty bottle of dawn to help get through it.
..Being in an apartment with only my, my mom and gram, we never have too many dishes, but those few are always really greasy, considering we usually have french fries every day. Bad habit. So I need a dish detergent that can cut right through that grease and leave my dishes sparkling. I must say that DAWN dish liquid does the trick.
The Blue Stuff:
..DAWN original scent comes in the popular blue color. This makes it exceptionally easy to spot it on the shelf at Wal-Mart or Bilo. It comes in many sizes: Super small, for those who use a little of it, regular size, which is the standard bottle most people use, and the three-quarter gallon bottle, for the all out battle. I use the super large three-quart bottle. Ive had it now for about a couple months and its still going, and going, and going (kinda like the energizer bunny). Now I have about two cups left in the large bottle.
..The mini DAWN bottle and the regular size have the same bottle structure. I guess you can think of it as one of those fake models they use at JCPenneys to display new trends. It looks just like one; no arms, dress-like bottom and a tight midline. The bottle is made to feel comfortable in your hand, not that is has too, youre only putting soap in the sink. The cap on top is that of a maple syrup bottle, you lift it to dispense the contents. Now for the super large bottle, it is shaped like that of a milk carton. It has a handle for a comfortable grip without hurting your hand. The cap is different than the other two sizes. On the cap, there is a flip lid like a salad dressing bottle. I dont know why it is different. On al sizes, there is a sticker on both the front and the back of it with the DAWN name and instructions/warnings.
Grease Lightning:
..When doing dishes, I just plug the sink, turn the water on and add a few drops of DAWN to the formula. Within seconds, the entire sink is flooded with ORIGINAL scented suds. Once I put a greasy plate in the magical formula, a quick swipe with the rag and the plate is spotless. Dawn attacks grease on contact and quickly dissolves it away into the dishwater. It also protects your plumbing by not letting the greasy gunk stick to your pipes. Dawn breaks down even the toughest, stuck on, most stubborn, baked, caked and pancaked mess with ease. This works well on pots and pans also.
..Some jobs were really bad. When this happens, I just soak the item in water and add drop or two of DAWN dish liquid and within a little, about when Im done with the rest, I can easily remove the burnt on stuff that stuck to the non-non-stick pan. Once in a while we eat Chef Boyardee Raviolis in meat sauce for lunch or supper, instead of taking the time to cook something real. I always eat out of a Tupperware bowl instead of a glass one and you know they can get stained and become saucy orange and red. When I go to wash it, be for sticking it in the sink, I put a few drops of DAWN in and push it around with my finger until all the sauce is off. I just have to rinse it and the bowl is crystal clean, without even using a rag. I cleaned greasy, saucy content off my bowl with just my finger and a drop of dawn. Amazin.
Hand Soap:
..Sometimes, if we are out of hand soap, I just use a drop of DAWN soap to wash my hands. DAWN claims to be gentle on your hands and I find this to be quite believable. My hands never get dried out of harmed by the DAWN.
The Perfect Bubbles and Lava Formula:
..I would just like to add my simple bubble recipe and lave recipe for great ways to use DAWN. They are simple and anyone can use them. You never know, they might just come in handy someday.
..BUBBLES: To make the bubbles, first start by finding a small container with a wide mouth lid, and that has a lid. Fill three-fourths way with water. Next, add a tablespoon of DAWN original Dish Liquid to the concoction. Then, and most importantly, add a few drop of a white hand lotion or something containing glycerin. This will help to create bubbles that wont break easily. Last, just shake it up and youre ready to go.
..VOLCANO LAVE: Now I know everyone thinks that you can create lave by mixing baking soda with vinegar. Well, you can, but adding DAWN will make it a hundred times better. First start off by putting a decent amount of baking soda in bottom of container. Next, add a tablespoon of dawn to it. Then, put in five drops of red food coloring into the mix and two drops of yellow. Last, when youre ready to set it off, pour a reasonable amount of vinegar into the concoction. The DAWN makes the lava travel a little thicker and lava-like, not all fizzle as with just BS and vinegar.

END:
..I prefer to use dawn to Joy or any other soap brand. It has a fast action against grease and fill the sink with suds. There are many recipes that DAWN improves, such as the bubbles and lava. When shopping for dish soap, always go for the blue stuff.
