Thanks for taking the time to read my piece. I should have made myself clear: I don't care to have political bias in my news. I like it even less in my features. Opinion is something else. But the Tribune doesn't deliver unbiased news, and its opinion is unbalanced, and it masquerades as an unbiased newspaper.
I'll tune in to some of your stuff soon.

Hmmmmm.... (Reply to this comment)

Should a newspaper really be biased to one political philosophy or the other? I've always believed that the most basic function of the news media is to simply print the news, what ever it is, without any slant or spin put on it by the author. Readers should be left feeling that they can decide for themselves what to make of it.
When you think about it, there are plenty of outlets for writers who want to put their slant on politics and current events. Why do we need them writing our daily news?
An example may be Bush's trip to Iraq on Thanksgiving. For the record, I'm a Democrat. I don't want to read a news column telling me why the author thinks Bush went to Iraq. A column simply stating the facts gives me plenty of information. I can think for myself.
Your review was well written (and rated accordingly) but I get the impression that you don't really want unbiased journalism. You simply want the bias to lean more toward your political, social and religious views.
Personally, I'd prefer to read a paper that merely states the facts. As long as the media is biased one way or another, there's always going to be somebody who is unhappy about it.
