Pros:Quality product, and requires less movement on your wrist.
Cons:Can't think of any.
The Bottom Line: Quality, inexpensive product with easy installation with custom programming options for the right and left mouse click buttons. Easy on the wrist.
The title on my box states that it is a "Wheel Mouse optical." Also, that it has improved optical technology and is 33% faster. The packaging does state that it is for Windows or MacIntosh. I think the name of the mouse could possibly be a play on words, since "Wheel" and "Real" rhyme. I received this mouse for Christmas from one of my nephews, and prefer it over the regular mouse that came with my computer.
It has two options of where to plug in the mouse. But if you have an older non-USB computer, your only option is to plug it into the PS/2 place for the mouse on your computer. (Or if you would have a serial plug hole, you would need a serial/PS-2 adaptor.) Or if you have Window 98 or above and and USB ports you may install it as a USB device.
This device works easily without a mousepad. The packaging states that, "The IntelliEye optical sensor scans your desktop 1,500 times per second, giving you smooth precise motion on virtually any surface." I find it to be so, and it seems to require much less movement than a regular mouse. It is much easier on your wrist especially when using it for long periods of time. There is no mouse ball to wear out or clean. Since it is an optical device, you will see a red light on the bottom of the mouse which is part of what makes it operate. This device comes with a three year warranty.
It does have a wheel on top of the mouse between the right and left click buttons which is used to easily scroll up and down pages. The right and left click buttons can be programmed with a number of choices on options available. Installation is easy.
I see this as a quality, inexpensive product, and would recommend it to anyone.
