anonimitie's Full Review: Belkin (F5D6020) Network Adapter
I bought a Belkin Wireless Router and was so happy with it that not only did I write a positive review of it, I bought one of their wireless notebook cards for one of my older laptops.
Every online description I read (at Amazon.com, CompUSA Online, Etc) claimed the card would work with Windows 95B. I keep an older laptop that runs 95B so, I bought the card.
After struggling to the card to run, I finally called Belkin Tech support. They first claimed that the card did NOT work with Windows 95B. I explained that lots of online sources disagreed and eventually, got a supervisor who agreed that the card should work with 95B.
The supervisor went on to say that only version one of the card would work with 95B. I had a version two so I exchanged my version two for a version one. Still no luck. Tech support only grew increasingly rude and they never did get the card to work as advertised.
If you are considering using Belkin's card with Windows 95B, be sure to get version one of the card (Identifiable by having only one LED light, later versions have two) and be prepared to be disappointed.
