The Bottom Line I'm a girlfriend-less dork.
Note: In this write off I’m gonna try a writing style called stream of consciousness, in which I just write the thought that come into my head. Hello, my name is Nick Ferrante, I’m your average teenage dork. I’m not the captain of the football team or the stoner that’s gonna amount to nothing. I’m that odd kid. I have friends, a few good ones, but not a ton. Anyway, when asked to participate in the “We Need Girlfriends” write-off I thought to myself and to the date, I’ve never had a girlfriend. I’m 15, and I’ll be 16 in may. Almost 16 years of life and no girlfriend. Come to think of it, I don’t even really have many friends that are girls. The Origin of Nick’s Problem I guess the reason I’ve never had a girlfriend was because as a child I was overweight. I had bad asthma and it was hard for me to exercise a lot so I was overweight. Just recently, in about the last 6 months I’ve lost 40 or so pounds and I’m down to the respectable weight of 157 pounds. I lost the weight, but the chicks still don’t come. I think that’s the main reason I never had a girlfriend. I’ve never been too popular at school, but the shouldn’t keep me from having a girlfriend. I’m not quite sure, I consider myself to be a fairly interesting person. Maybe it’s because I have obscure interests. I’m not super attractive, but I’m no monster. I don’t need a girlfriend I know the title of this write-off is called “we need girlfriends” but when I think about it I don’t need a girlfriend. As long as I have a few good friends, it’s all good. I have a couple good friends so I’m all set. Sure, I’d like to have a girlfriend, someone to hang out with, but it’s not the end of the world. I’m not gonna change, I’m just gonna do my own thing and the girls will come, eventually. It seems like the only time girls talk to me is when they need to copy my homework or need an answer on a test or something like that. So come on ladies, dorks need love to.
