A few months ago I received the Orange Glo/Oxiclean 6 piece set and I wasn't all that impressed. The only two pieces that did really well was OxiClean and Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish. I have used them both continuous now for several months.
I have to admit that I don't have a lot of wood furniture in my house. There are several items that I use Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish on every week when I clean. Living in the desert seems to keep a lot of dust around so I am constantly battling cleaning and then re-cleaning two days later. Oh and it doesn't help that my fiance isn't the best cleaner either, but he certainly enjoys making the mess.
The Packaging~
Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish comes in 16 fl oz size. It has a bright Orange sprayer and green trigger to spray with. Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish claims on the front of their bottle that it "melts away Grease, Grime, Polish and Wax Buildup."
How it Works~
Orange Glo can be used on the following areas/items:
Wood Finishes
Shower Stalls
Formica
Vinyl
Fibreglass
Ceramic Tile
I have used my Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish on my shower and all my wood furnishings and it has done a fabulous job, It leaves my coffee table and entertainment center look like new wood again. It has made the tiny scratches seem irrelavant and there isn't a waxy feel to it when I am done cleaning. As for the Bathroom Showers that I have, it shows off their sprakle and shine around the tile.
Directions~
Apply Orange Glo to a soft cloth, then use the cloth to clean and polish surfaces. Wait 30 seconds, then wipe off excess to create a bright clean luster. For heavy wax build up, allow to stand for 5 minutes before wiping. Repeat if necessary. The protection remains. Not for use on floors, may make slippery.
Cautions~
Keep out of Reach of Children and Pets. Can be harmful, even fatal if swallowed. The Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish contains Petroleum Distillates. Always clean in a well ventilated area of your home so as not to inhale the fumes of the spray. I have to admit that my apartment is only 1400 sq ft and not the best ventilating situation in both of our showers. However I didn't experience burning of my eyes and just for extra protection I use long gloves. I have a fireplace in my home, but I don't put my cleaners anywhere near there. Orange Glo does say to keep away from flames and it is a "combustible mixture."
Thoughts and Recommendations~
I would have to say that Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish is one of my favorite cleaners to work with. It gets off the soap scum in the showers and makes the tile sparkle. My Wood Furniture has come back to life again with Orange Glo.
One of the Best things about Orange Glo is that it smells just like Oranges blooming. I love the scent and it lingers in your home when you are done cleaning. My fiance smokes a cigar everyday in our second bedroom or out in the living room and Orange Glo cuts right into the smoke. I don't smell the cigar after I am done wiping down everything around us that Orange Glo can be used on. The Cigar Smoke becomes non-existent. The Orange Glo Wood Cleaner and Polish is that good.
I can be very sensitive to cleaners, especially during allergy season but I haven't had a problem with Orange Glo from the time I started using it until a few moments ago when I wiped off my wood desk. It is that good.
I am glad that out of the original 6 pieces I received a few months ago didn't go to total waste. I know that it is worth the money because it works as long as you work it.
