Well well well ....what have we here ? My wife and i were searching for a second SUV, when we ran across a 2004 Kia in a parking lot. Not being familiar with this brand at all apart from knowing it was korean, we both agreed it looked quite nice. Cute but sporty.
In the past years we have owned grand cherokee limited V8's, Mercedes suv's, we currently have a GMC envoy also.
I have also driven many other SUV'S such as the toyota V8 Sequoia and the lexus SUV'S.
When i saw the price on the Kia, i thought "UMMM THIS CAN'T BE VERY GOOD" let's give this a try, it's the perfect price range for a cheaper car to take the kids to school every day !!!
When i drove the kia sorento for the first time, i thought, "it can't be possible" this thing handles more like a mercedes SUV and the suspensions feel identical to that of the mercedes.
I loved it !!!
Did not feel like a heavy SUV at all, i felt i was in a sports car. I can't describe this sensation further, go try one.
One thing is for sure, all the american SUV'S i have had feel heavy like a big truck ..the kia is totally different.
All the american SUV'S i have had NOTABLY CHRYSLER ...have all fallen to pieces after 50'000 miles...i hope this is not the case with the Kia sorento...anyway we have a serious warranty here !!!!
I am totally impressed by this car.
