Can't live without it.

Pros:Stylish, like an iPod, functional, like an iPod. Perfect for using iPod in the gym.
Cons:Adds some extra wire to the ensemble that is a little aggravating.
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for anyone who bought a 15Gb iPod (it comes with the 20 and 40Gb,) who is going to use it for anything active.

One drawback of purchasing a 15Gb iPod was that it did not come with a remote (see my review of the 15Gb iPod for more info . . .) and I immediately found I wished I had one. This little device is perfect for taking the iPod to the gym because I don't like taking my iPod out of it's little waist-pack while I'm running, biking, etc. - yet I find that I need to adjust the volume periodically, pause the music (to talk to somebody, perhaps . . .) or skip a track, all of which the remote accomplishes with aplomb. Additionally, it has it's own "hold" button, so that the buttons don't get accidentally pressed during workouts.

The design, in keeping with iPod's outstanding looks, is very elegant and simple - and it clips right to my clothing or the belt for the waist-pack.

The only thing I don't like about it, is that it makes for some extra wire hanging around while I'm trying to exercise. Mostly I deal with that by stuffing excess wire into the pouch with the iPod. I don't like all that extra wire, but I've no idea how I'd do it differently.

The in-line remote really completed the package of my new favorite toy.
