Audi A8 is a driver's car. Even though it's a very large car - long and heavy (despite the aluminium body) - it's really fun to drive. As comfortable as this car is, when you get to drive it in a sportive manner - the car becomes "smaller". The A8 turns to be a rapid, accurate performer.
The car is very expensive, though. And for the price of a BMW 7 series you expect it to look more fancy. You do get all the possible gadgets, including all sorts of light effects, electronic elements and climate control systems. You also get all sorts of safety/fun systems, like stability control, traction control etc. But with the Audi A8 you don't get the right looks. The A8 looks just like an enlarged A4 or even worse - an enlarged VW Passat. Nobody looks at you and nobody sees your success through this car. Some people might see that as an advantage, but I think if you pay 70 grand for a car - you expect people to know you did.
Any way, my experience with the car is very good. It's very comfortable and surprisingly economical. There's plenty of space inside, but it takes a lot of space outside, so don't expect to find a good parking place right away. It has plenty of power but it drives smoothly, elegantly.
