Low Prices, Item Arrived Next Day -- Call Before Ordering

After reading about some negative experiences in previous posts (mostly about poor communication on backordered items), I was a bit hesitant to order from BabyAge.com. However, their price for the item I wanted (a Kelty Back Country child carrier) was the lowest on the web, and FAR lower than BabiesRUs or REI, plus their $3.95 flat shipping rate was more than reasonable.
Following the advice of previous reviews, I called BabyAge first to see if they had the item I wanted in stock. An operator picked up immediately when I called, and said they had it in stock.
I ordered off the web site (very easy to navigate, very easy checkout) on a Monday morning, around 10:30 am. I received a confirmation email shortly after, with all the details of my order. That evening, I received another email that my item had already been shipped!
The next day, I clicked on the link provided in the email to track my package (being shipped via UPS), and to my surprise, it was scheduled to arrive that day. Sure enough, the UPS truck arrived that afternoon -- the pack was in perfect condition, no flaws or damage in shipping. A receipt from BabyAge was included. Imagine, less than 30 hrs after placing my order, it was on my doorstep!
I am very impressed with my BabyAge experience, and would definitely shop there again. To be on the safe side, I'll always call before ordering to make sure the item is in stock, then place my order online.
