Going to Vegas this June, so I had to book a trip. My friend and I talked to a travel agent and the best deal including air fare was $480 for the hotels that we wanted to stay at.
I looked online and I checked out www.travelocity.com I could book the same trip for $450 ($30 dollars cheaper). I was about to book it when my friend recommended to check out www.travelscape.com
I punch in all the info into proper place and out comes a list of all the available packages available and the price of each. And.... we can get the same deal for $415. WOW it just keeps getting cheaper and cheaper.
THE GOOD
The format to enter the information is easy to use. It seems like a generic template that is used by multiple online travel agents. Going through the process was very easy and quick. Other's have commented on the speed of the site, but I didn't have any issues with speed, but then again I'm sitting on multiple T3's. After I completed my selections, I entered my info and my friend's info, my credit card info, and that was it. I received and email a minute later will all the details. Painless enough.
MY PROCESS
I booked a package deal from Philadelphia, PA to Las Vegas,NV.
1: I put in all the necessary info: From where, To where, Date's, and desired time.
2: I was then given the different flight options. The layout of this was much nicer than travelocity, where you had to pick which flight you wanted to and from your location. Travelscape's layout gave you the complete flight details (the to and from, so one less thing to have to select).
3: Then they nicely laid out the different prices of the hotels and corresponding flight package.
4: I selected which package I wanted, added it to my cart and then checked out. And I was done, after I entered all the important information.
THE BAD
Most of these packages are non-refundable, so make sure you are definitely going. Read all the fine print, there is alot of it. I'm haven't gone on the trip yet, so I can't comment on any additional problems I might have, so I'll update this if anything happens.
*SIDE NOTE*
I checked www.expedia.com a few days later. The website interaction is nearly identical. The same package that I booked at Travelscape I found on Expedia for $10 less and they also include shuttle transportation to and from the airport. So make sure to look around and find the best deal, before you book something.
