Pros: 2 tuners, Record 2 shows at once, Pause live TV, Instant replay.
Cons: Not currently available through retail. WEB TV connection is slow
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this DVR - hopefully Microsoft will put it back in to production!!

For the life of me I can't figure out why Microsoft stopped making this product! It has all of the features that I was looking for in a DVR.

I could not be happier with this receiver!
You can pause live TV, record one show and watch another, and record 2 shows at once. It has a picture in picture feature which is great for watching one show and still surfing to see what is on.
You can easily search for shows (easier with the keyboard purchased separately)by - Title of the program - Name of your favorite actor, director, or TV personality - Topic of the program you want to watch - A combination of these plus rating, audio or video format, or more. Once you've found the program you want to watch, you can record it. If it's a series, you can automatically record every episode. The receiver can find and record programs that match your search when they come on later.
The guide from DirecTV is great. You can continue to watch the current channel while browsing to see what it on. You don’t have to go to another screen to see what a show is about - just simply highlight the show. You can set up several favorites guides for different family members, or by genre. There are great parental controls and spending limits.
In the last upgrade they made is possible for you to see who is calling you on your TV - you must subscribe to caller id service.
The only downfall of this system is that the web TV feature is limited to 56k. I hardly ever use it because it is so slow.
There are so many great things about this system - I am sure that I have left some out. I highly recommend this to all!!
