Pros: Easy to setup. Easy to Configure. Pretty interface. Automatic updates.
Cons: Limited control for advanced users. Intrusive and secretly calls home. Limited userability.
The Bottom Line: If you could control everything going in and out of this router, I would say buy it. Always research your products carefully! Privacy should be number one.

This is my 4th broadband modem, but 1st DSL modem/router. I have to say that the setup was pretty easy and straight forward. The installation was easy enough for an average user, even though I had to use the supplied CD to install, instead of using my OS to do this, it would not connect, strange. After setup, the configuration was straight forward, and easy interface to use. The thing I don't like or miss from my experience with a software firewall, is the custom configuration of blocking all programs, and selecting which ones you want to go through or come through. That is whats missing. Even though they have blanket controls for like HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, etc., but very vaugue and average user doesn't know that probably http uses port 80, and ftp uses port 21, etc. It should have an either a select IP, or and IP range where you can always block from and to. Also noticing in the http://homeportal/management section of my router (this is undocumented), I checked the logs (since I like to know whats going on), and it calls home, even checks certain servers, without your permission, nor with you controlling it. It's sorta like the Windows XP check for updates, where it goes to the windows update site, checks your versions, then checks what avaiable, then compares the two.
Ok, for some, they might like this, but for me and some others, I feel this to be very much intrusive, and I can't turn or block this from happening.
