Great idea, but sometimes fails in practice

I really wanted to like amazon. I really did. But I've had some horrible experience with them.
First off, their choice is great. As are the prices. Unfortunately, I never received packages in good time. (Half of them I never even received.) The packages sent USPS arrived fine. But anything sent UPS was lost or misrouted. I'm sure this is as much UPS' fault, but since Amazon is contracting them, ultimate responsibility must remain with them. Of course, I had ordered these products about 3 weeks before Christmas and they never came. When all was said and done, they sent the packages back and DID refund my order.
However, they CLAIMED NO FAULT.
I also never received a phone call and had no way to take my issue up with a HUMAN BEING. Which brings me to my next issue with them. They have NO PHONE contact. Waiting for their email responses takes days, if not weeks. So now it's FEB, and I'm STILL writing back and forth to them.
Hopefully they'll get their act together. Until then, I'm going to warn as many people about their incompetence.
Hope you have a better experience if you order from them.
