Cons: Does not give detailed instructions on how to change diet of your children.
The Bottom Line: If you want to find the real cure for ADD, ADHD, and autism using natural methods, you want to purchase Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy instead.

First, let me point out that the picture of this product on Epinions does not match the product's title. Currently the revised title of this book is: Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism by Dr Ted Broer.
With that cleared up, I would like to give you my impressions of Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism.
Why Did I Buy This Book?
The first reason why I purchased this book is that I previously purchased Dr. Ted Broer's health series titled Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy. That series teaches you the dangers of eating certain foods and the problems with our country's food supply because of the additives and chemicals contained within it.
Within that tape series, there was a cook book and a special article about treating ADHD that I was interested in. My youngest son suffers from autism, ADHD, and a host of other "lingo" according to the physicians, and was having major problems at school when he was taking medication, so I figured the medicine was not doing any good so why continue? I began him on the Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy program after we came home from the holidays and since then he has not been on any medication at all. His behavior has improved dramatically as well.
However, he still had these autistic characteristics. I heard that many people had used diet to help with that aspect so I wanted to see if there were any other specific solutions that I could do here at home to help my son.
That's why I purchased, Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism. The tape series proved to be so successful in our family's lives, that I wanted to see if I could improve my son's life more.

However, after beginning to read Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism I started to realize that this book was not going to give me the information that I desired.
Yes, there was a great deal of reference material about ADD, ADHD, autism and other disorders. If you read that material you're going to find that at least one of the shooters of Columbine High's masacre was actually on Ritalin or a Ritalin type substance, and how those drugs affect your children. You'll come to know that there was no such thing as ADHD before the 1980s by name and that it's a problem that is more focused in the USA than any other industrialized country.
And when you read this book you are going to become EXTREMELY angry when you find out how duped we have been as parents in regards to our children's education. You'll find out why we have the worst literacy rate ever, and why our children cannot read whether or not they are diagnosed with "anything".
However, the real reason why I purchased Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism was not to become educated about our social system, or the plague of psychotrophic drugs that are being prescribed for everything. My main reason for purchasing this book was to find a "maximum solution" to helping my son with a possible "cure" his autism with a natural remedy.
And with that in mind, I really have to believe that most of Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism does not help me in my personal journey to find those solutions -- at least to the extent that I felt it should.
Yes, there is information about the vaccination issue, the heavy metal issue, and the food additive and chemical additive. Yes, there are suggestions to food alternatives including eliminiation of many foods from your child's diet if they have ADD/ADHD/Autism. However, the detail that I really wanted in regards to specific information about diet was not contained within this book.
Most of the references to diet were pointed to the Eat, Drink, and Be Healthy plan which I had previously purchased. That made me wonder if I had wasted my money!
In retrospect though, I do not feel that I had totally wasted my money at all.
I did learn a great deal about ADD, ADHD, and autism. I learned the reason why my oldest son now has a lot of problems in college now. I learned how the public school system failed him and why he is in the predicament that he is in regards to reading and understanding material. I also learned some supplements that I can add to his diet to help him in the future.
I also learned some foods to avoid concerning my autistic child including yellow vegetables, which I was surprised would cause such a reaction. I had already learned that certain food dyes affect him such as red food dye and chemical additives so I had been changing his diet already, but I did learn a few more things to help me and more supplements to add to his diet as well.
Conclusion
However, I would like to point out that, for me, Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism does not give me the information that I really thought that the book would. It does not give you a throughly planned out process of step by step changes to your child's diet in order to help "cure" them of these problems.
Instead, it gives you lots of information about the causes of the current situation (all of which when I thought about it are totally true), and why this country has a current epidemic of ADD/ADHD/Autism when other industrialized worlds do not have this situation. THAT information will blow you away and make you very angry about being misled about the advise of physicians, educational professions and so forth.
Therefore as I conclude here, my suggestion as to the purchase of Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism is the following:
1. If you want to learn about the history of ADD, ADHD, and autism you will want to read this book.
2. If you want to learn why there are so many illiterate students graduating from our schools, read this book.
3. If you want to know why the USA has these problems when other industrialized countries do not, read this book.
HOWEVER, if you are looking for a dietary plan to help your child be cured from ADD, ADHD, Autism or any other pervasive developmental disorder, then you do NOT want to purchase this book.
Instead, you want to purchase the Eat, Drink, and be Healthy program that was created by Dr. Ted Broer instead. That program actually DOES work as I have mentioned before in regards to the attention span and behavior of my autistic child and I am continuing to adapt my son's diet to be more strictly adhered to that dietary plan as well. And that tape and book program will give you the information that you truly want which is not fully contained within Maximum Solutions for Add, Learning Disabilities and Autism : Natural Treatments for Add, Adhd and Autism.
