ValueWeb, Where's the Value?

Pros:They will host you site,
Cons:Just not very well.

I had hosted a site with ValueWeb for about two years and I was not too satisfied with them. The control panel was not user friendly, and was lacking in a few areas.

My biggest complaint was that I could not manage my domain names myself. I contacted support and sales and specified that I would like to handle the re-registering of my domain myself and they just kept on re-registering it on my behalf.

My second biggest complaint was they had no database support on the plan I was on and for $19.95 a month, there are plenty of other companies that offer this feature.

The plan had few features and between web and mail servers being down intermittently, the price, no database support and the fact that I had trouble with managing my domain, I decided it was time to start shopping.

I would recommend other hosting companies that have more features as well as costing half as much. I have one in particular, but I won't name it here.

ValueWeb is an okay hosting company with enough features to run a site, but they just didn’t offer enough for my personal preferences.
