The Bottom Line Follow the 5 Components! That's All!
2005 GET PAID TO SURF THAT WORKS!!!!!! http://www.studiotraffic.com/index.php?refid=363551 See my favorite WEBSITES. It is incredible how long I have lasted on this get paid site. I've tried many sites, but usually give up because the rates are simply impossible to achieve. Alladvantage was a close competitor which lasted about 6 months for me; but now its gone. I've been at Epinions.com since September and have enjoyed being here since day one. I can somewhat say that I am a savvy when it comes to writing epinions -- not yet an expert though. In order to prove my point which is what I will get into when I conclude, I will talk about the given topic Before You Begin Writing a Review. First thing is first, search for the given topic to see if it is there. I once wrote a review, long one, about a particular music single which I assumed HAD to be on Epinions.com. Since I write most of my reviews on paper and then type them up when I am done, I basically got screwed. Before you begin, always see if the topic is there. ie. Housecream - Piece of My Heart is not in the epinions.com database When you do find the topic, don't simply click on the link and begin writing ...... you will notice that your epinions will take considerably longer because you will have to gather your thoughts on the spot. I would suggest that you think of at least 5 major points (like an essay) that you want to make. Example Writing About "Before You Begin Writing a Review" 1) Search the Given Topic to See if it's There 2) Gather Your Thoughts 3,4 and 5, I won't say, because you won't read on! :P If your taking more than 15 minutes to think of 5 things, go to another topic. If it takes you half an hour, think about it -- the MOST hits (not being an advisor) would get you around $1. Basically, Epinions.com would be paying you the refugee rate of $2/h. Brutal. Ponder. Ask yourself if the opinion/topic will interest the likes of a lot epinionators as well as non-members. Most likely "The Simpsons" will get you a huge amount of hits while writing about a beta game such as "Tetrinet" (see you have never heard of it!) will practically get you nothing. I think The Simpsons got me 180 hits, while Tetrinet a measly 17. Another idea that you should consider before writing a review is whether or not you know a significant amount on the given topic. I personally consider myself an expert when it comes to the get paid programs Alladvantage and Epilot and the rest of my reviews I would consider myself more than knowledgeable. Do not write about a topic that you don't know about. A common thing that people do is write about cars when they haven't even had an experience in the model. ie. "I like this car, it is so cool. Its such a smooth ride and you can boot it wherever you go! I paid $15,000 for the car, you should buy it. As well, one should take those 5 ideas that I had mentioned before and picture how much can be written through those ideas (subideas). If you can already see yourself barely exceeding the 100 word limit, don't write about it, .... you don't know enough and that one main point you make is basically irrelevant because you can't state anything else to encourage a visitor to say "Hey, I think Ill check this out, he makes a good point" or "Wow! I already know what to expect!" ie. The people who write about Alladvantage: give no examples of rates (former and current), payments, or main idea. I read a whole bunch of them and they were all complaints. "Alladvantage didn't pay me and I hate them, don't sign up!" Basically, those are the main steps that I myself take but I can imagine that others take different approaches. Those others either do bad or do good. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Now my last point which is appropriate for this topic is for those epinions members that abuse the General Comments about Epinions.com section. Many users use this section as a way to say hello because they are back from vacation, argue about how to write a music review, or plain out state that they would like to thank Epinions for their "n"th review. Like sheesh! Think about it, since February I have been getting 125 reads per opinion (who knows why or how! :P). My 300th epinion is approaching ..... should I write a review thanking epinions for the site and how I adooooore the?! I would get around $1.25. Now think if everyone did it. I can imagine there are at least 50,000 members on epinions. *Breaks out the calculator* 50,000 x 1.25 = $62,500. Epinions.com will lose $62,500 in "wasted" expenses. All because people abuse the section. At least if the $62,500 was paid out to members who wrote accurately on the given topics then Epinions wouldn't have to lower their rates for certain topics, because advertisers would be getting their moneys worth. Personally, I don't think that this category should pay out..... I couldn't care less if I got paid for this opinion. Its an information site for new epinionators to become the best (best = ptiemann [u can toss me that $20 later Peter] ) of writers and to avoid bad habits. Main Point : Before you start, please think about the people who could care less about your disputes with other members, the people who could care less how long you have been writing, as well as the people who could care less that you came back from Hawaii and will continue to rate your opinions. Put that information of your profile page or submit an email to your web of trust members. |
