Pros:One-piece unit, great sound, good volume, adjustable speaker angle
Cons:AC adapter not included, can tip over if speakers vertical
I had been looking for a set of portable speakers for my iRiver iHP-120 MP3 player. There are very few models of small, portable speakers on the market, and the Creative TravelSound seemed to have the best technology built into them, plus they had received better reviews (and were cheaper) than the ones made by Sony. The sound quality is impressive. I have a friend who has a set of Creative iTrigue LS-3500 speakers which use the same titanium drivers, and they sound incredible. The sound is very full, and rich, although there is (naturally) no bottom end. The "wide" setting does exactly what you would think it would do.
The design is nice-looking, but the volume buttons are rather tiny, as is the on/off switch. The unit can tip over if the speakers are in their full, upright position, but they can also be tilted to various angles, which is nice. I have not had this set long enough to test battery usage, but I use rechargeable Ni-MHs anyway. At $69.99, an AC adapter should be included. These would probably sell better priced at $49.99.
