I have never been so dissatisfied with an online purchase!!! I purchased a LG VX6000 phone via Circuit city online site which sent me through to InPhonic. At the time of purchase, I requested that my Tmobile number be ported over to Verizon.
1. I received the phone in a timely manner so that was fine. However, there was no rebate form in the box as promised. Also, the number did not get ported over as they said it would.
2. I called InPhonic on the first issue which was the lack of a rebate form. They said that they would mail it out to me. A few weeks went by and I ended up calling them back...at which point, they said they would e-mail it to me...after waiting about a week, the rebate form FINALLY came into my e-mail...only to find out that the postmarked date had already expired!!! I was absolutely livid!! So, I called InPhonic yet again...their menus to get in touch with a live person are absolutely ridiculous...you end up going into different menus...and end up having to hang up and call back to figure out how to speak to a live person...I finally go through only to be escalated to a higher level support...who had no clue because this individual ended up transferring me back to the queue instead of transferring me to a supervisor...I was furious by this time...after going back and forth for 20 minutes...I reamed out the next representative I talked to saying I would like to speak to someone that knew what he/she was doing. All I wanted is to find out what I needed to do to get my $70 Rebate!!! This is not rocket science people!!! This person said they would get in touch with the rebate department and have them e-mail me another form...and now the waiting process continues...
3. I also called InPhonic about the porting process for my phone number. They said it was Verizon's issue...and that they had done their part and put it through. I called Verizon who had no record of any request to port my number so they referred me back to InPhonic. InPhonic continued to claim this is Verizon's issue. I was extremely frustrated at this point...so I had Verizon fax me a form that I filled out to manually port my number...this whole process lasted about 2 weeks...it was absolutely ridiculous...
I will NEVER shop with InPhonic again...I should've just went to a Verizon store...it would've save me alot of time and energy!!! This is the worst customer service I've seen in a long time!!!
Save yourself the hassle and buy this phone in an actual store!!!
