| wifeofvolsfan's Full Review: Dawn Complete Dishwashing Liquid |
Well, I guess Im on a roll today. This is my second review today that is outside of my comfort zone.
I have used Dawn Original Dishwashing Liquid for years. Dawn is the only brand that I buy. Its the brand that I grew up watching my mother use time and time again. I have tried to other brands and I always seem to come back to Dawn. I think it does the best job on getting pots and pans clean.
My husband usually does our Walmart shopping. He knows that I prefer Dawn to any other brand. A couple of months ago he came home with a bottle of Dawn Complete. I felt sure that I would like it because it was a Dawn product. I wasnt really sure how much different it would be from my current Dawn Original product.
Dawn Complete comes in both regular and anti-bacterial. My husband bought the regular version for me. The regular version comes in a greenish blue liquid. The antibacterial version comes in a yellow liquid.
What it claims to do:
~ Powerful Rapid Rinse Formula, easily cleans tough food and tough grease.
~ Contains Vitamin E & B5 enhanced microgels and a formula that actually improves the look and feel of your hands.
~ No re-washing, re-rinsing, or re-scrubbing
For best results, apply directly to tough food soil, soak and clean.

Water, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium pareth-23-sulfate, C 12-14-16 dimethyl amine oxide, SD alcohol 40-B, undceth-9, sodium cumenesulfonate, sodium chloride, PPG26, cyclohexanediamine, polyacetate, magnesium chloride, tocopheryl acetate, panthenol, protease, amylase, fragrance, and blue 1.

Final Thoughts:
I primarily wash my dishes in the dishwasher. If I only have a few of them I will sometimes wash them by hand to get them out of the way. The main reason I use Dawn Complete Dishwashing Liquid is to soak my pots and pans. When I cook casseroles, macaroni and cheese and things like that Im left with some yucky pans. Before I put my dishes in the dishwasher I make sure that they look fairly clean. I rinse all of the plates and silverware. I soak the nasty pots and pans. I then scrub them clean before they go in the dishwasher. Dawn Complete makes it so easy. The grease and grime just lifts away from the pan. I dont want to take a chance on them coming out with something stuck to them so I make sure they look good before they go in.
I have noticed that the Dawn Complete seems to lift the grease and grime away a little bit quicker than the Dawn Original. I also like that it has Vitamin E &B5 included in it. My hands are very sensitive and I have found that this seems to be a bit easier on them.
I dont think there is a huge difference in Dawn Complete and Dawn Original. Both are wonderful products. I must have my bottle of Dawn Dishwashing Liquid by the kitchen sink at all times. I would like to try the antibacterial version also. It says that it is Dawn Complete Dish Detergent and Antibacterial Hand Soap combined into one. That is a cool concept!
I have the 20.2 fl. oz. (600 mL) bottle. You can find that size bottle for an average of $1.99 at most any store like Walmart or Kmart. It lasts at least a couple of months. Of course someone that doesnt have a dishwasher would have to use more than I do. It also works great for washing your car. My husband enjoys washing his truck in the summer. He puts warm water in a bucket along with some Dawn detergent. It gets his truck shining.
I like the scent of the Dawn Complete also. It has a pleasant scent. It is not too strong and overbearing. It is a nice, soft scent. If you visit the website they have a 10-question quiz which can help you determine the right Dawn product for you. I took the quiz earlier tonight and it recommended Dawn Complete and Dawn Dissolver for me. I occasionally use Dawn Dissolver for the stuff that is really funky. I dont use it very often though. Usually Dawn Complete and a good soak will take care of my problems. You may want to check out the website and take the quiz to see what product the site recommends for you.
If you havent tried Dawn Complete I think you will like it.
