Pros:Pleasant scent, only about $3.00/bottle, trusted Lysol brand
Cons:hazardous to children and pets
The Bottom Line: Lysol Kitchen cleaner cuts through grease and bacteria better than any product I've ever used before, while leaving your kitchen smell fresh instead of medicated like other products do.
My kitchen has never been and smelled so clean until I used the citrus scented Lysol Disinfectant Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner. I have been using it for almost a year now, and its a product I swear by.
HOW TO FIND THIS BOTTLE:
This Lysol product is found in any discount store such as Wal-Mart to your local grocery store. Its white in color with a purple spray handle, and on the front, it reads, Professional Lysol Disinfectant Antibacterial Kitchen Cleaner. The bottle contains 32 ounces of liquid cleaner, the equivalent of 1 quart, or 946 ml.
MY USES:
As shown on the back of the bottle, I use this product for my white grease-collecting stove, my counter, my stainless steel sink, and all of my non-porous appliances, including the frig, the toaster, the microwave, the electric can opener, and the blender.
Although this product is meant for the kitchen, I see nothing wrong with using it in the bathroom, another germ-spreading area. I use this cleaner around the sink, toilet, bathtub, bathtub containers/shelves/storage compartments, plastic garbage can, etc, and sometimes I even use it on my marble floor! Why not?! I doesnt hurt it.
WHAT NOT TO USE THIS PRODUCT ON:
I never spray my Lysol Kitchen spray on porous areas such as wooden cabinets, wooden floors, or walls. This product is not safe for dishes and silverware, even though you can use it to clean the sink. Just make sure you rinse out the sink well before you place dishes there.
WHAT LYSOL IS MEANT FOR:
This particular Lysol product is meant to kill bacteria that is prone to developing in kitchens, such as salmonella and e.coli. It also does a wonderful job cutting grease and grime.
HOW TO USE:
Use this Lysol bottle like any other spray bottle. Simply turn the nozzle to stream or spray and start cleaning. It is best to wear gloves while using this product. Spray a designated area and wait approximately 10 minutes before wiping. Some people wipe without waiting, but for the best results, let it absorb on the area for a while. Wipe thoroughly with a clean, non-scratching cloth, such as a cloth made of 100% cotton. Wipe with a damp towel to eliminate any left-over Lysol product, especially if there are pets or children around. Turn it back to off when finished for safety purposes.
MY OTHER USES:
This cleaner works so well that I also use it in my pets cages. I have two little bunnies that need their cages to be cleaned often, but since water doesnt eliminate the odor they leave behind, I trust Lysol to clean their stench=). Since the powerful ingredients may hurt them, I make sure to run their cages through hot water after I use the Lysol product, then I dry it to the bone with a clean, dry towel. I also use this product on:
-Stainless steel
-Plastic items such as garbage cans and storage containers
-Door knobs/handles
-Plastic/wire shelves
-White vertical blinds
-The railing on my balcony
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
Alkyl, dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides
INERT INGREDIENTS:
Detergents and other grease cutting agents
CAUTION:
Store in an area away from children. If not used properly, this product will be harmful to children and domestic animals (see above for how I care for my pets cage without harming them, under other uses). This product also causes eye irritation, so keep away from your eyes while cleaning.
