The Bottom Line Detective films are always very enjoyable to watch and great to see how they unfold. These are my ten favorites.

10.)DICK TRACY- This is easily one of the best detective films of all time. The cinematagraphy in this film is outstanding, It's very colorful with lots of great Action. It has lots of great acting with Warren Beatty doing a great job as Dick Tracy and Al Pacino is halarious as Big Boy Caprice.

9.)TURNER AND HOOCH- A great comedy with Tom Hanks at one of his funniest performances. It's about a detective who is hired to find a murderer when the only witness a big slobbery Dog named Hooch. Very funny scenes with a sad but good ending.

8.)WHO DONE IT- One of Abbot and Costello's best film's. It starts off in a radio station with the boys playing soda jerks and after a murder of one of the top guys of the radio station. The boys pretend there detectives on the case to find the murderer. little do they know they are the prime suspects. Very funny with a very surprising ending.

7.)RANSOM- My favorite of Ron Howard's films. This movie is about a man who's child is kidnapped and put up for ransom. Doesn't sound like very much but turns out to be an awesome movie. A must see for Mel Gibson fans.

6.)FACE/OFF- This movie is easily John Woo's best film. It has a very interesting plot that stars John Travolta as a detective on the trail of a man who killed his son, who is played by Nicolous Cage. After the bad guy is caught and in a coma the detective is forced too trade faces with him to find out where a bomb is he had planted. Awesome acting and great special effects.

5.)DIE HARD- The movie that started great action films and probably one of Bruce Willis' best. This movie is about a cop who goes to visit his ex wife in New York at her place of work. Thats when the excitement happens, The place becomes controlled by terrorists but they dont know he is in the building. Very Exciting.

4.)CHINATOWN- This movie is one of the best detective films on everyone's list. It stars my favorite actor, Jack Nicholson as a private detective on the case of a water crisis that ends up turning into a murder case. A must see for people who like a good and interesting detective case.

3.)SEVEN- Two great actors star in this awesome movie. Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman are detectives on the trail of a murderer who is killing his victims due to the seven deadly sins. The ending is outstanding.

2.)VERTIGO- My very favorite Hitchcock film and probably the best film from the 50's. This movie is very hard to take in on the first viewing so you might have to watch more then once. It's wonderfully acted by one of Hollywood's all time greats James Stewert. If your a fan of Hitchcock you have to see this one.

1.)THE USUAL SUSPECTS- I know some might say this isn't really a detective film but I would classify it as one because the whole story is told in a detective office and through the eyes of a witness to the detective. This movie has probably the best ending of any movie I have ever seen. It has a great cast and is very exciting.
