If you use a printer you are eventually going to need ink for it. I have a HP DeskJet 930C printer. I usually end up replacing the black cartridge in my printer about every six months or so. You can buy the black and the color together in a package or you can purchase them separately. Most people use the black more often than they do color so I like that you have the choice.
The HP Inkjet Print Cartridge will work for a variety of different models. You can use this in the following printer models:
HP Deskjet: 710, 712, 720, 722, 820, 830, 832, 850, 855, 870, 880, 882, 885, 887, 890, 895, 930, 932, 935, 950, 952, 960, 970, 990, 995, 1000, 1100, 1120, 1220, 1600, 6122, 6127

The HP Inkjet Print Cartridge 45 is black ink only. It prints clear and sharp. It measures 3” in length, 3/4" in width and 2 2/2” across when laying flat. It has 42 ml (1.42 fl oz.) of ink.
Replacing the New Cartridge:
This is really easy. If it were very complicated at all I wouldn’t be able to do it. My printer has a two-cartridge configuration. There is a place for a tricolor cartridge and a black cartridge. You lift the covering that is over the cartridges. Remove the empty black cartridge. Pull the green tab that is on the new cartridge. Drop the new cartridge into the spot where the old one was.
Ink Level Indicator:
Green ~ means you have plenty of ink
Black ~ means that the ink is low, you should have a replacement ready

6 month limited warranty from install before date. There is a date on the box that you need to install before.
Final Thoughts:
I have purchased the HP Inkjet Print Cartridge 45 several times since I’ve had my printer. It is easy to replace the old cartridge with a new one. The cartridge is supposed to last for 833 sheets, which usually lasts me for awhile. You can normally find the print cartridge for around $30. You can get it in a set with the color for about $50. It’s a better value if you buy them together, but most people normally use more of the black than the color.
You can print in three different modes: draft, normal or best. The best option will give you the best picture, but it uses more of your ink. I have mine set in normal and I get high quality printing with that.
It prints clear, sharp and crisp. It is never smeared or blurry. I have used this ink cartridge for a couple of years now and have never had any problems.
