Pros: Price is great for what you get; easy to use

The Bottom Line: I wouldn't recommend it; your money's better put toward a more durable product.

| oddduck25's Full Review: GE Food Processor 9 Cups |
I came to this website first to read about food processors, before I bought my very first one. Honestly, the price of this one caught my eye, because I wasn't ready to go out and spend a ton on a Kitchenaid just because it comes in pretty colors. Nobody sees it anyway, except when it's being used.
OK, I see now the reason I bought this one over a high-end one: price. Apparently, that was not very good justification. After a few months, the housing for the blade began to crack, and once I dropped the lid, it cracked. Neither injury put the processor out of commission, but I was a little worried about the blade flying apart while I was using the machine. Eventually (i.e. Saturday, Nov. 6,2004), my husband dropped the lid while drying it and it cracked to the point where it broke and is now useless. It's under warranty, but I don't think it's defective, I think it's cheaply made. I think I'll go and get another processor that doesn't have a cheap plastic bowl and lid, because frankly, I don't see it never getting dropped again. BTW, it was never put in the dishwasher.
